Guest Stylist Series Episode 2: The Finishing Touch: The Omega Edit

Guest Stylist Series in collaboration with Personal Stylist Zoe Rodrigues.

A watch is one of the most important finishing touches to an outfit, and the ultimate investment piece. Much like a beautiful handbag or a great pair of shoes, it can quietly complete a look while adding something personal.

Unlike many accessories, a beautifully crafted watch is something to wear and enjoy for years, becoming part of your personal style and, over time, part of your story. That is what makes choosing one such a considered decision.

As a stylist, I love the way a watch can subtly change the character of an outfit, whether through proportion, precious metals, texture or simply the personality of the piece itself. Here are a few of my favourite ways to approach styling an OMEGA.

The Beauty of Proportion

The OMEGA Constellation Observatory has an understated, timeless feel. I particularly love the leather strap, which gives it a relaxed elegance and allows it to move effortlessly from jeans and knitwear to beautifully tailored pieces.

When choosing a watch, consider its proportion in relation to your overall silhouette. A larger case can create a striking focal point, while a more delicate size can feel beautifully understated. There are no hard and fast rules: it is about finding the balance that feels right for you.

The Power of Personality

The OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch has a completely different character. Its substantial 42mm case gives it real presence, and I love using a watch like this to create contrast within an outfit. Try pairing a more substantial timepiece with something fluid or feminine for an unexpected combination. It can also work beautifully as a hi-lo accessory: allow it to become the statement piece, or let it sit more quietly within the overall look.

The Art of the Everyday

The OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra 30mm feels wonderfully versatile. Its refined proportions allow it to move effortlessly between everyday dressing and more polished occasions, making it exactly the kind of investment piece I look
for in a considered wardrobe. I also love the way precious metals can bring cohesion to an outfit. Echo the tone of your jewellery through your watch for a subtle, harmonious effect, or introduce a contrasting metal when you want the watch to stand apart.

The Statement Piece

Sometimes, bigger really is better. The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 6000M makes a striking statement with its 45.5mm proportions, and I love the way its substantial scale brings confidence and presence to a look. It challenges the traditional notion that a watch of this size is exclusively masculine. Worn by a woman, it can look incredibly elegant against a more fluid or feminine silhouette, creating a beautifully considered contrast and allowing the watch to become the focal point.

Ultimately, the beauty of a great watch is that it does more than complete an outfit. It becomes part of your signature: an investment in personal style that you can wear, enjoy and make part of your story for years to come.
